So, I'm Kali. You guys have heard a lot about me. Now it's time to hear FROM me. I originally entered the spanko world in May 2008, as a bottom. I had no idea the spanko world even existed until I was doing some research one day about self-spanking, because I wanted to see just how weird I was. I wanted to know if anyone else out there experimented with the same thing, and I was surprised at what I found. I found what I had been missing all my life. Soon after, I found a disciplinarian to help me out. I went through a couple disciplinarians before I found the one that was meant for me. He and I are still together. But this is not about he and I. That is just a little background on how I came to be where I am. In February 2010, we moved Gracy into our home because she needed a place to go. As I began to learn more about her and grew closer to her, I found that our life stories were so similar, it was unreal. I realized it was more than meant to be. I also realized that she needed someone to take her under their wing and guide her through recovery from a traumatic life, one so similar to the one I had lived. At this point, I was still in need of guidance from my top (whom I eventually married), but I also concluded that I was at a place in my life where I could give guidance and correction to someone else because I had grown quite a bit myself. I saw that Gracy needed that guidance and I offered to be a mentor to her and she quickly took me up on that. It actually just kind of happened. I never set out to be a top/mentor/disciplinarian, call it what you want, but that was never a goal of mine until Gracy entered my life. I realized that I was at a place where I could give back what had been given to me and there was no reason for me not to.
I am not a natural "top", per se, but I am definitely meant to be a mentor, by nature. So, there have definitely been some struggles a long the way, but we end up working through them every time there is a bump in the road. I absolutely LOVE to see the progress that Gracy has made over the past year. It gives me a sense of satisfaction that nothing else could give. So, in a sense, mentoring Gracy helps me to stay on the right path as well. It has been a pretty big struggle to find my place as a top and also a bottom. I kind of lost my way for awhile as a bottom, but I have been trying to get back to where I need to be as far as that goes, because not only does it keep me on the straight and narrow, but it helps me to be a better top/mentor to Gracy and, ultimately, that is my goal.
Well, I just wanted to introduce myself a little more and give y'all somewhat of a background as to where we came from and where we started. I look forward to sharing some of our experiences and hope to hear from you as well. I welcome any input and feedback, too!
